Video of dance to "Bleeding Love"
=Wow. (Do I say "wow" too often?) We don't ever watch "So You Think You Can Dance" but last night we did. The video below is of the best dance of the night. It was so AWESOME!!!
Have I mentioned (I think I have in the past) how I yearn to do perform/write things that make people FEEL? This is one of those performances that I'd love to be a part of.
By the way, in the introduction, they said that the man is supposed to be a workaholic and the girl is his girlfriend or wife.
So definitely watch it! (It's about 2 min. long.)

"Things Left Unsaid" by Disciple
I love this song. Listen to what he says at the beginning.
You can also listen to this song on my playlist.
It's just a matter of time a few days ago
I saw you, you were fine
Remembering what you said
About the book you read
The one I got you
The Beginning of the End
Oh how we'd talk
For hours upon end
What I give
Just to do it again
But you're lying there
In this hospital bed
Won't you open you eyes
And let's talk once again
(CHORUS)
If you fly away tonight
I want to tell you that I love you
I hope that you can hear me
I hope that you can feel me
If you fly away tonight
I want to tell you that I'm sorry
That I never told you
When we were face to face
Well I've been here all night
And I'm watching you
Breathe in and breathe out
Is it really you
Or just a machine
That's giving you life
And it's making seem
That there could be hope
I could say to your face
If it weren't for you
That there would be no grace
That's covered my life
You took the time
To speak into my mind
And my heart
Words of life
(CHORUS)
So goodbye for now
And I'll see you again
Some way, somehow
When it's my turn
To go to the other side
I'll hold you again
And melt at your smile
Now all I have
Are the ones that I'm with
And you taught me not
To take for granted
The time that we have
To show that we care
Speak into their minds
And their hearts
While their here
And say I love you
(Chorus)
I got these lyrics here.

Whatever you're doing [something heavenly] by Sanctus Real

I love this song--I think I've added it to the playist [see the side of this blog].
Also, I have a new poll--please vote! [Also on the right hand side.]
It's time for healing time to move on
It's time to fix what's been broken too long
Time to make right what has been wrong
It's time to find my way to where I belong
There's a wave that's crashing over me
And all I can do is surrender
(Chorus)
Whatever You're doing inside of me
It feels like chaos but somehow there's peace
It's hard to surrender to what I can't see
but I'm giving in to something Heavenly
Time for a milestone
Time to begin again
Reevaluate who I really am
Am I doing everything to follow Your will
Or just climbing aimlessly over these hills
So show me what it is You want from me
I give everything I surrender...
To...
(Chorus)
Time to face up
Clean this old house
Time to breathe in and let everything out
That I've wanted to say for so many years
Time to release all my held back tears
Whatever You're doing inside of me
It feels like chaos but I believe
You're up to something bigger than me
Larger than life something Heavenly
Whatever You're doing inside of me
It feels like chaos but now I can see
This something bigger than me
Larger than life something Heavenly
Something Heavenly
It's time to face up
Clean this old house
Time breathe in and let everything out
It's time to fix what's been broken too long
Time to make right what has been wrong
It's time to find my way to where I belong
There's a wave that's crashing over me

Lyrics to "War Inside" by Todd Agnew
Here's the lyrics to "War Inside" by Todd Agnew from his album "Better Questions. I got the lyrics from here.
Do you feel the grind?
Do you see the battle 'tween this
Flesh and soul of mine?
'Cause there's a war inside of me
Between who I want to be
And who I am
I do what I don't want to do
And don't do what I mean
I end up chasing all my nightmares
abandoning my dreams
Who I am is not who I want to be
Shackled like a slave when I know that I'm free
Wrong and right, truth and lie, death versus life
Everything in me is choosing sides
And the showdown begins
Do you feel the tension?

"Dead Man [Carry Me]" by Jars of Clay
I love this song! This video is just a picture witht the song playing but I couldn't find the song to put on my playlist so this will have to do.
I love this song!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Here are the lyrics to the song. I got them here.
January One, I got a lot of things on my mind
I'm looking at my body through a new spy satellite
I try to lift a finger but I don't think I can make a call
So tell me if I move 'cause I don't feel anything at all
So carry me
I'm just a dead man
Lying on the carpet
Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe
I wanna be a new man
Tired of the old one
Out with the old plan
I woke up from a dream about an empty funeral
But it's better than a party full of people I don't really know
Well, they've got hearts to break and burn, dirty hands to feel the earth
There's something in my veins but I can't seem to make it work
Won't work
So carry me
I'm just a dead man
Lying on the carpet
Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe
I wanna be a new man
Tired of the old one
Out with the old plan
Can you find a beat?
Inside of me?
Any pulse, getting worse
Any pulse, getting worse
Inside of me
In front of me
Carry me
I'm just a dead man
Lying on the carpet
Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe
I wanna be a new man
Tired of the old one
Out with the old plan
Carry me
I'm just a dead man
Lying on the carpet
Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe
I wanna be a new man
Tired of the old one
Out with the old plan
I love this song!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

"Hallelujah" video by Krystal Meyers

Below are the lyrics to the song
I got the lyrics from here.
Close my eyes
Falling on my knees
The hope that’s inside
An overwhelming peace
As time’s slowing down
Your soft spoken words
On my heart left a stain
Though no one’s around
And everything’s broken
Your beauty remains
And I realize the reason You came
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Shedding a tear
The taste becomes stale
‘Cause this is why I’m here
The scar of a nail
Heaven has the pleasure of having You here
Nothing can measure the love that You share
Angels sing welcome home
Welcome home
And this is what I’ll sing for You
And this is what I’ll sing for You
Oh

An Amazing Song
Here is a song on a CD I received for Christmas that has sparked my imagination. I can just see this in a movie...
I am a thief, I am a murderer
Walking up this lonely hill
What have I done? I don't remember
No one knows just how I feel
and I know that my time is coming soon.
It's been so long. Oh, such a long time
Since I've lived with peace and rest
Now I am here, my destination
guess things work for the best
and I know that my time is coming soon
Who is this man? This man beside me

They call the King of the Jews
They don't believe that He's the Messiah
But, somehow I know it's true.
And they laugh at Him in mockery,
and beat Him till he bleeds
They nail Him to the rugged cross,
and raise Him, they raise Him up next to me
My time has come, I'm slowly fading
I deserve what I receive

Jesus when You are in Your kingdom
Could You please remember me
and He looks at me still holding on
the tears fall from His eyes
He says I tell the truth
Today, you will live with Me in paradise
and I know that my time is coming soon
and I know paradise is coming soon.

It's a very wrenching[?] song. I can see the movie as either the thief hanging from the cross with the rest of his life as a flashback or just going through his life until the end. Anyways...

edit: this song is called "Thief" by Third Day, just so you know

Stuff....
Well, I got back a while ago from a recital. My friend, John was playing the piano there as was Alex, Elizabeth, and Raquel. It was cool. You guys did great!
Also, I had an interesting thought the other day--
You know you're too young to date when your parents can ground you from seeing your boyfriend [or girlfriend if you're a guy].
Just a thought...
I can't think of anything else to write so....I give up for now...LOL
More later,
Cat

If We Are the Body...
I love this song. I listened to it some weeks ago and it reminded me of the story I'm writing [Lexicon], specifically one of the main characters--Nikky. She's so selfish/self-absorbed that she doesn't notice or really care about those around her--even her "best friend". She doesn't notice or care enough to try to help those around her.
I'm sure most of us--if not all--are like Nikky to a certain extent and, yes, I'm including myself. I mean, sometimes [or many times] we just get so wrapped up in what's going on in our little bubble and how we get from point A to point B without thinking or even looking at the people around us. I want to work on this more myself. If you were to stop and say ONE kind word to ONE person, you could make that person's entire day.
You know, I've kind of wondered, if someone were considering suicide and you were to take the time to say something kind to them--could you possibly stop them from leaping off a building or slitting their wrists without realizing it? I just wonder like that sometimes...
So...here are the lyrics to "if we are the body" by Casting Crowns.
-----------
It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in
Trying to fade into the faces
The girls' teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know
CHORUS
But if we are the Body
Why aren't His arms reaching
Why aren't His hands healing
Why aren't His words teaching
And if we are the Body
Why aren't His feet going
Why is His love not showing them there is a way
There is a way
A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat
And quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgmental glances tells him that his chances
Are better out on the road
CHORUS
But if we are the Body
Why aren't His arms reaching
Why aren't His hands healing
Why aren't His words teaching
And if we are the Body
Why aren't His feet going
Why is His love not showing them there is a way
Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the Body of Christ
Chorus (2x)
If we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching
Why aren't His hands healing
Why aren't His words teaching
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going
Why is His love not showing them there is a way
Jesus is the way

A flipbook I made a while back...
It's done to a song called "Pedestal" by Barlow Girl. I never can seem to get the timing right but bear [?] with me.

Lyrics to "Imperfection" by Skillet
I LOVE this song--the feel, the sound, the lyrics, everything. Do you ever feel like this? I have this song up on the playlist to the side.
You're worth so much
It'll never be enough
To see what you have to give
How beautiful you are
Yet seem so far from everything
You're wanting to be
You're wanting to be
Tears falling down again
Tears falling down
You fall to your knees
You beg, you plead
Can I be somebody else
For all the times I hate myself?
Your failures devour your heart
In every hour, you're drowning
In your imperfection
You mean so much
That heaven would touch
The face of humankind for you
How special you are
Revel in your day
You're fearfully and wonderfully made
You're wonderfully made
Tears falling down again
Come let the healing begin
You fall to your knees
You beg, you plead
Can I be somebody else
For all the times I hate myself?
Your failures devour your heart
In every hour, you're drowning
In your imperfection
You're worth so much
So easily crushed
Wanna be like everyone else
No one escapes
Every breath we take
Dealing with our own skeletons, skeletons
You fall to your knees
You beg, you plead
Can I be somebody else
For all the times I hate myself?
Your failures devour your heart
In every hour, you're drowning
In your imperfection
Won't you believe, yeah
Won't you believe, yeah
All the things I see in you
You're not the only one
You're not the only one
Drowning in imperfection

I'm HOME!
I'm VERY happy. I went to sleep in my own bed which was wonderful. I will add the pictures we took in Philadelphia/NY but I don't know if Dad's taken them off the CD yet so...
Anyways, I took off the songs on the music playlist that weren't working and am adding some other songs. Among them I've added Pippin's Song from LOTR and I'm trying to add the Office theme song again so...yeah. Please tell me if you notice any songs not working or that they've turned red and say "error". That way I can fix it. Thank you.
I thought this was pretty thought-provoking.

I like this one. It's "inspiring" [for lack of a better word]
Oh! I can't forget that tomorrow night's Writer's Bloc! The date's been changed because of when the guest speaker will be in town.

Also, while I've been gone, I've been writing a prequel to Lexicon just to tell me where he came from and how he ended up being on earth in "Lexicon the Dahrian". I must say, it's a pretty interesting concept. Maybe I'll let you read it sometime if you ask very nicely. [I haven't finished the prequel yet but I'm near the end and am optimistic.]
