Ohhhh! Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!!

I was at Big Splash yesterday [Monday] with my lovely Aunt Betsy, cousin Hayley, and sister, Hannah. Aunt Betsy's friend was kind enough to buy me an ice cream thingy. I saw the friend get her son a Spongebob Squarepants thing and when she got me ice cream, I decided to get the same thing. 'Twas fun! [Excuse my appearance but I had to take a picture of the fun-ness!]

Speaking of Big Splash, is anyone going to Big Splash this summer? When we've been going, [Aunt Betsy got Hannah and I season passes--Thanks, Aunt Betsy!] we usually go in the morning [10am or so] and leave around 2pm. Maybe I'll see some of you there sometime! [Call/e-mail/comment if you're going and maybe I'll see you there.]

*Doing the Happy Dance*

Oh, great happiness of mine!
I have just finished writing the "short" story that will be serving as the prequel for "Lexicon the Dahrian"! I hold it in my lap as I type. [I LOVE the icon below.] I started it as the "short story" assignment we had for Writer's Bloc. Well, it's grown a little bit...

The "short" story is now almost 31 pages long on lined paper. I worked on it while we were gone on our trip and everything. I'm quite happy--no, no--I'm VERY, EXTREMELY, and UTTERLY JUBILANT! It is finished! Well, the first draft is anyway. Now I need to type it up on the computer, edit it, and all that. So far the name of it is "Lexicon the Prequel--a short story" but I don't know...I may change it. But now, after writing this, I know how Lexicon gets from his planet to ours and what his life was like before he came here, etc. Maybe when I type it up I'll let you read it, if you want to. Well, I just wanted to share my happiness with you!

There really IS an ocean breeze!

OH-MY-GOSH! I've seen the ocean! We went the day before yesterday to Sandy Hook and went to the beach! It was just... *sigh* awesome. I could SMELL the water when we got close. As we came closer to the beach, I could see that tall grass with little fences around it--just like in the movies. And I saw the ocean! It was just amazing. Then I got IN the ocean and cooled off my toes. Those waves are pretty strong! Before I figured everything out I kept getting knocked onto the sand by the waves. [I had little red spots all down my legs when I went to dry off.] Well, the whole thing was just AWESOME! [Where's my thesaurus?]

Then after a wave slammed me down on the beach, I'd try to get up to walk out and then the wave would pull me back. I sure was tired after that.

After I did some swimming [and involuntary drinking of the ocean as the waves washed over me] I dried off on a towel on the beach. That's when I felt the ocean breeze. There really IS an ocean breeze! It was so cool! I could hear the waves and feel the breeze...oh, it was a beautiful thing.

After I had changed back into regular clothes I went to put on my sunglasses and looked in the mirror and realized...that one of the lenses was gone! 'Twas pretty sad...Because those were special sunglasses that went over my glasses. Hopefully, today when we go to Wal-Mart they'll have some for me. I don't want to go without sunglasses!
Don't worry!--We took lots of pictures and I'll post them sometime but I can't right now. =(

I CAN NOW SAY "I'VE SEEN THE OCEAN"!!!!!

Funness...

So...Wednesday we go to New Jersey! I'm really excited--really, we all are. It's going to be awesome. It's supposed to be rainy for the first week, I think so we got some umbrellas for the trip. I really like mine--it's black with rainbow [lots of different colored] polka-dots. I think it's so cool! My parents almost got me a fadora [a kind of hat] but they decided to have me choose between getting the umbrella or the hat and...well, like I said I got the umbrella so I guess you know which one I chose. Anyways...
The rest of this post is about a surprise birthday party that I took part in yesterday [Saturday] for a girl who's in my Writer's Bloc group at my church. Her name is Juliane and Saturday was her birthday. The leader of the group [Mrs. Hansen] organized the whole thing pretty much. What happened was Mrs. Hanson brought Juliane to Cold Stone Creameries where we [me and some other people in the writer's group] were waiting. When Juliane came inside, we all said "surprise!" I think what Juliane's response was [other than a look of shock] was, "This is the best surprise EVER!" So we got ice cream...which was VERY good [I got cake batter ice cream with Crunch pieces all in it]. Then us "younger people", me, Juliane [of course], Danyelle [she's going to Rhema's school and does NOT like chocolate], and T [a nice guy who is cool enough to open the door for us girls] went to the movie theater to see "Shrek 3". Shrek 3 was very good. After that, we went to this barbeque place, ate, and had cake. That was pretty much it. We had lots of fun and...it was great! [It made me feel very teenagery--no, that isn't a real word.]

So...here are some of the pix! [Hopefully, I'll be able to post more before we leave for New Jersey.]
