Missing Pages by Seventh Day Slumber

I think at least the chorus of this song goes perfectly with a certain character in my Lexicon story [yes, I'm still working on that]. Her name is Damien and she's a cutter. Along with the lyrics of this song, I've included a couple pictures that make me think of Damien.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the outside all we see is clay that hides the perfect lie
But no one really knows the pain inside
I understand how much it hurts to be the one who’s never seen
Missing pages in a magazine
No one knows you anymore
You’re lost inside the walls you’ve built
No one knows you anymore
A prison deep within your soul
There is One who sees it all
He’ll give you life you’ve never dreamed
He can see the pain underneath your skin
It’s hard to see you fading
Nothing that I do can bring you back
I pray to God that you don’t fade away
Your addiction is a symptom of a lost and dying soul
Without Jesus there’s no hope at all
No one knows you anymore
You’re lost inside the walls you’ve built
No one knows you anymore
A prison deep within your soul
There is One who sees it all
He’ll give you life you’ve never dreamed
He can see the pain underneath your skin
There’s so much more this is not the end
It’s all in your hands don’t throw it away
A beautiful life with so much to give
The image of God underneath your skin
No one knows you anymore
You’re lost inside the walls you’ve built
No one knows you anymore
A prison deep within your soul
There is One who sees it all
He’ll give you life you’ve never dreamed
He can see the pain underneath your skin
Beauty of God underneath your skin
Beauty of God underneath your skin
Beauty of God underneath your skin
interesting...and a new quiz
I think this is probably pretty accurate--not certain, though. It was fun to take the quiz, though.
You Should Live in a Small City
You are definitely an urban person, but not any old city will do.
You want a city that matches you well. For you, big cities lack individuality.
You prefer a smaller city with lots of personality, local culture, and history.
Some cool words...
Creed: statement of essential beliefs
Prolixity: using too many words
Truculent: agressively self-assertive.
Omen: sign or warning for the future
Outlandish: very strange
Boor: rude person [it's so fun to say that someone's "boorish"! LOL]
I DROVE, I DROVE, I DROVE!
Well, today, Dad took me out to drive. I was pretty scared about going. :O LOL Yeah...
He took me out to Coweta where he had me drive around and park in an empty parking lot for at least a half hour.
THEN he had me go out onto the ROAD! AHHHH! And then a HIGHWAY! It was pretty crazy. [We went that same route twice]
And THEN he had me drive from Coweta to the Reasor's by my house!
By the time I got there, I was pretty stressed/frazzled! It wasn't Dad's fault--he was pretty good. I was just REALLY stressed out! Dad said he thought I was going to break the steering wheel in half because of how tightly I was holding it. He said I kept drifting to the right--well, YEAH! I didn't want to run into somebody! But then again, I didn't want to drive off the road either so...
*sigh*
It was PRETTY crazy. But...
I DID IT!!!
I'm pretty happy. Mom wants me to drive again tomorrow [some] on our way to Missouri. AHHH! Wow...I can do this. Breathe deeply--I can do this...Wow.....
Well, I still did it!!!
Boo-yah!
During this LOVELY drive, I met a funeral procession [which, of course, we stopped for] and...did I mention that I drove on the highway???? Okay, I admit it--I'm kind of proud of myself...
Oh, and by the way, this was the first time I'd EVER driven on the streets--I'd only driven through our neighborhood and in a parking lot. 'Twas QUITE crazy...
