Happy Friendship Day!

Well, Sunday was Friendship Day! YAY!

So, Happy Post-Friendship Day, everyone! I love my friends.

I want to tell you [my lovely friends] that you mean a LOT to me and can't imagine life without you! I love ya!
(I found the above graphics from graphics arcade.)
P.S.
Thank you, Sprite and Mrs. Christy for the comments! You get brownie points! Could some of you other people comment, too? It would make me happy and I might take down the sad picture on the right side of the page.

Home, Sweet Home!

Well, it's good to be home!!! I had a great time at Allie's house. She was sad to see me go--and I was sad to leave.
But it's always nice to sleep in one's own bed. :)

We had a wonderful Lord of the Rings marathon. ;) We also went to Arbor Lodge--SUMMER home to the people who started Arbor Day. (Contrary to popular belief [or maybe just my belief], it was not started because of crazy environmentalists.) It was lots of fun!
I saw a different side of Allie this time, though. *shakes head* I just don't know if I can be friends with a girl who...dips her grilled cheese sandwiches in ketchup! :P LOL

OH MY GOSH! I'M SO HAPPY!!!

I talked to my friend, Allie on Sunday [the one who lives in Nebraska]. She told me that she and her family are moving back to Oklahoma this summer! You know, the summer is a bad time to come to Oklahoma but I'm just so darn happy, I don't care! I keep going up to my mom and saying, "Allie's coming back!"

Several of you [my friends] haven't met Allie. Can't wait to introduce her to you guys [and gals]. I'm hoping she'll join CHEER.

Please be praying that Allie's family will be able to sell their house in time!

Ha This is a funny pic of her.

John's Artistic Talented-ness

Here are the things that John has given me for my birthday/Christmas in the last 2 years. [Remember that he MADE them.] Just had to show them off for him. I thought they were amazing.

This was the first one he gave me--it's not the best picture [it's in a shadowbox now]. It's Arwen's Evenstar necklace from the Lord of the Rings

This is the medallion from the first Pirates of the Carribbean movie [on the left, my fingernail isn't that dirty--just painted black]
Aren't they awesome?

This is Dedicated to Mr. Matthews

This slideshow is something that I made not too long ago after I read that a good friend of mine [who directed Flowers For Algernon when I was in it] had passed away from cancer.
This slideshow has pictures from Flowers for Algernon. It's not very long--please take a look and comment [I'd like to know if anyone watches it]. Thanks!

The song that I put with it ["From Underneath" by Hawk Nelson] may not match regarding the lyrics but I think, at least, the FEEL is right.
Anyways,
Cat

This flipbook is...

for the director who not only directed very well but helped me to become a better actor....

Things I've Done During My 16th Year

Since today is my last day as a 16 year old, I thought I'd post about the things I've done during my time of being 16.

-I saw someone swallow a sword for the first time (one of the guys in Team Rootberry).
-went through several hairstyles (but since when is that something new? LOL)

-I finished 10th grade and started 11th grade

-I travelled 1/2 the world--okay not really--over the summer. (I did go to: New Jersey, New York, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, and Illinois--I think that's it.)

-I spent, I think, 11 days with my friend Allie and her family in their new house. (I'd never been away from my family that long before but it was fun.)

-played in the rain for the first time [Nebraska]

-learned how to groom a horse (Nebraska)

-went to Big Splash over the summer a handful of times (I could have gone more if I hadn't been trying to be a world-traveler)

-I started going to Writer's Bloc at my church, which has been really awesome.

-I became the H.S. yearbook club leader.

-went to/played in the ocean for the first time [New Jersey]. (Found out that, strange enough, the ocean is salty! Imagine that! It's nasty...)

-went up in a lighthouse [New Jersey]

-went out to support the family of a fallen soldier (that was very rewarding. it felt really good.)

-realized that I have more friends than I thought.

-realized how truly awesome it is to be homeschooled.

-volunteered at the John 3:16 Mission for 2-3 days this summer. (AND I survived!)

-made new friends.

-got my driver's permit
-decided that I would like some sneakers [you know, the ones with the white toes. I want black or red]

Back-to-School Western thingy at John's church

I meant to post these sooner but I obviously haven't!
About a week ago, I was invited to this fun thing at John's church. I had a lot of fun. :) I'd like to thank John for inviting me to go, my wonderful parents for allowing me to go, and my wonderful sister (Hannah) who allowed me to borrow her cowboy boots and hat! Thank you, thank you!

I love the rain...

Well, it's raining today...I love the rain...I love getting wet. It's refreshing. While I was in Nebraska, Allie and I went out in our pajamas and played in the rain. The rain didn't last very long but it was a lot of fun. I don't think I had ever played in the rain before. :)
Yesterday, I went to my lovely friend, John's church for a Western back-to-school thing. 'Twas a TON of fun. I'll post pictures later but...it was a LOT of fun.

I'm in Missouri right now and don't have your e-mail address with me. I was just wondering how you heard that I was doing the yearbook? Just curious.

Fun with Spencer & Catrina!

So, this is what my friend, Spencer and I did for a couple hours while he was here. It was lots of fun! =) Until he had to leave. =( Oh, well, I'm glad he came. :-)
People, please tell me if you can see the flipbook [after clicking on "view flipbook"] or not. It may say you need "flash 9" to see it. Then you need to do whatever it takes to get flash 9 because flipbooks are AWESOME! Anyways... =)

Craziness...

I guess my mind is on marriage right now...

Well, I just got off the phone not too long ago with my good friend, Allie in Nebraska! I got to tell her stuff and she told me stuff, specifically about how her older sister, Cierra is dating a guy and it's pretty serious [the guy wants to marry her]. That made me start thinking. So many friends [at least definitely more than before] are getting married, are married now, or are, at least, seriously dating. [Okay, maybe it's not a lot of people but they're friends of mine and they're...ahhhhhhhhh!] It feels weird. Like...I'm growing up, I guess and so is everyone around me, which is true but it still feels WEIRD!

Patti's brother is married.

Cierra's in a serious relationship.

I mean, this is just WEIRD! I met both Allie and Patti at the same time [in the girls' program at our church] when we were all 10/11 years old. I've known their siblings for almost or as long as I've known them and now...geez.

It's just not right I tell you! Just not right!

Anyways...

Oh, on another note, thanks everyone [Mom, John, Spencer, Melissa, and Sprite!] for commenting on my blog from time to time! Comments really do make me happy [I smile when I see that I have another one]. You guys are WONDERFUL! =) [Hey, you guys should get blogs. Then I could reply to your comments WITH COMMENTS! Mwahahahaha! 'Twould be grand funness...]
<--Woohoo! LOL

I'd also like to thank everyone for voting on the poll. Hopefully, I'll put another one up later [one that you might be more interested in]. Please only vote once. [And when I say "short" hair, I mean the hair I have now or shorter and "long" is how long I had it last summer--when I was volunteering at the library.]
