GUESS WHAT! My grandparents from New Jersey are coming to see me (well, my mom, dad, and sister, too, I guess)! They are the ones who we went to New York last spring (of '04) with. I'm so excited! While they are here we will probably go to this pizza place that I've never been to (but the rest of my family--mom, dad, and Hannah--has) called Incredible Pizza and/or (I'm not sure) this aquarium place that I've never been to either. Grandpa and Grandma will arrive on Monday (not sure what time).
I have money from working at my Dad's office (not my Dad's but where he works) doing office stuff for ten hours--organizing electrical drawings, sorting files into another file cabinet, and coralating(?) paper. I know at least what I'm going to with some of it. Before I tell you this, I need to explain something. I take a clipboard with me everywhere I go because I'm always writing a story (mostly fantasy or science fiction). Sometimes I bring the thesaurus, too (but it's a bit big). I get extra papers after finishing them on the clipboard and don't want to put them under the blank papers because then the paper is not straight. So, I want to buy a storage clipboard (the kind of clipboard that flips up so you can put stuff underneath) and a pocket thesaurus. I'm so excited! I know, you are probably thinking, 'A clipboard and a thesaurus? How boring!' But I really am excited!
Yesterday, I mowed the lawn (woo-hoo--sarcasm intended). Our yard is huge (it usually takes me about two hours to mow it) but I didn't have to mow the entire thing because of all of this Oklahoma heat killing the grass. YES! Kill it all! I don't want to mow anymore! I'm so glad I'm a girl and probably won't have to mow much when I'm married! (Can you hear the hallelujah chorus?) Hopefully, I won't have to wait that long to stop mowing. Hannah (my lovely sister) is going to be eleven-years-old next March (I was eleven when I started mowing) so...Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah, hallelujah! Did I mention, Hallelujah?

Thanks a lot for your comment, Cat. In the last years in Italy we had nothing that could be compared with 9/11. This was the most terrible fact happened in the free world after the Second World War. But in the '70s and '80s we suffered political terrorism and we defeated it when we decided to be united. We have a certain experience and now the Government and the Opposition are using it well. I try to be informed about what is going on in America; I don't know the particulars, but I see that the situation about your national security is under control. Let's hope things go also better for the future. About terrorism I think that we have to do something, if they let us, for correcting those situations (lack of freedom, poverty, etc) that may bring some to hate others and to wish their death. And that at the same time we must defend ourselves using, if necessary, the strenght. What, according to me, we should do is to be united, America and Europe. About the last war in Irak Europe divided, and this was good for the Terrorists; maybe Bush was not very clever in convincing all his allies. That's what I think, but I'm certainly not a genius! About leaders who do not represent the people, this happens everywhere, unfortunately. Roberto.
