Unseen Talent

Can you believe that both of these pictures are of the same guy? The one on the left is of Cillian Murphy in Batman as the "scarecrow" and the other is Cillian's promo picture. I couldn't believe it. Neither picture I have here is a really good one. Well, I just wanted to discuss the subject of actors that haven't really been noticed yet. Here we have Cillian Murphy. I didn't see him until I watched Batman Begins where he plays the "scarecrow". He has been in twenty-two films since 1997 (some were shorts, one was a T.V. min-series but the rest were movies such as Cold Mountain, and smaller films) but he's not well-known or famous. Although, he does have a couple fans. I like looking at smaller characters in movies--mostly because of my bias for guys I think are good-looking, but that is beside the point. I also do that because I hope that someone will look into my record when/if I'm an actress who hasn't really been discovered and cast in a main character role yet (it's a "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" kind of thing).
A nother thing on the subject of acting, I think that if you don't really, really want to act and it's just something you like to do as a hobby or something, please don't audition for huge parts in movies and things. I'm not saying that you can't audition for big parts when it comes to community theaters. Actually, when it comes to community theater, many times you don't really have a choice because sometimes there aren't very many parts to audition for. But when it comes to movies you should leave the big parts to those who really want to act (like me, for instance). Do you understand what I'm saying? Well, I better go. Bye!

I'm shutting down my xanga because I think blogger it's just a better set-up for me. My family can comment on my page this way without having to get their own blog.
I'm doing pretty well--and you? I'm going to be off school after this Friday! I'm going to have August off. It's wonderful! Did I see somewhere that you're in San Francisco? What's it like? I went to New York last spring but it's not quite the same. Talk to you later, Arwen!
