More random things about me...

11. When I was younger, I wanted to be an illustrator. (I drew stacks of pictures that told stories.) Even though my mom told me that writing was in the family and I'd probably want to be a writer one day, I didn't think so. Boy, was I wrong.

12. I'm very story-oriented. All the things I want to do or have ever wanted to do involve stories. [Writing, acting, singing.] (I love music videos that are a story.)

13. For the most part, I don't like tea. Or coffee, really. [Though, I do like frappuccinios.]

14. When I was little and was eating grapenuts with my mom, I turned to her and said, "Look, Mom." I then flicked a spoonful of grapenuts on the wall. My mom was so surprised that I did that [I just don't do things like that] that she started laughing even though she said, "Don't do that again." I smile when I think about it. I'm not exactly sure why I decided to do that. Hmm...


15. I tell my parents and my sister all the time that I love them.

17. I used to have a crush on Justin Timberlake from *NSYNC. But then he cut off his beautiful curls and started going out with Britney Spears. That's when I knew it was over between us. :(

Some Random Things About Me

I got this from my friend, Sprite. I'm not sure how many things I can come up with [not that you need to know anymore random things about me] but I'll have a go at it.

1.) I used to want to have shiny, black hair. I have since been told by a family friend/our hairdresser, though, that I wouldn't look so good with it so it's probably not in my future. :(

2.) In pretty much all of the stories that I write the main character(s) have a super power/gift/amazing ability.

3.) Like Sprite, I hate having a messy room but my room...isn't looking so good at this point.'

4.) I was told the truth about Santa Claus from the beginning but my parents would still take me to the mall to sit on Santa Claus' lap. (Just so you know, I don't feel deprived or anything. It was fun pretending.)

5.) I've lived in the same state all of my life.

6.) I don't want to put a limit on how many children I'm going to have. I figure when God thinks I have had all the children I'm supposed to have, I will just stop having children. I mean, why limit God? I know, this is definitely not a point-of-view held by many Christians, much less non-Christians. I may change my mind on this but this is my thought at this point.

7.) I've already begun thinking up names for my children (I'm sure I'm not the first girl to do that). Among the names I'm considering are: (for boys:) Linden, Noah, Rush, and Ransom and (for a girl:) Samara [Hebrew for "protected by God"].

8.) I love Japan's culture. I think it's really cool. The land is also very beautiful.

9.) I started writing fiction when I was 10 or 11 and have kept it up since.

10.) I get very into movies and T.V. shows. I make LOTS of faces (but when DON'T I make faces?). Patti and my mom think it's very entertaining to watch me. Often my Mom says I am more entertaining than what is on T.V. at the time.

Things that don't make sense!

I just found out that peanuts aren't nuts at all--they're "pods". Thanks, biology, for ruining everything! I mean, come on! It says "nut" right in the name! But I guess it's too late to change it. "Peapod" would be pretty confusing. I wish I could go on thinking that a peaNUT is an actual NUT but I can't. Now that my eyes have been opened, I cannot go back. *sigh*

Mom and Dad went to the homeschool convention in OKC today and they'll be home in a while...We'll be having burritos for dinner...Stop thinking about food! I'm hungry! Okay, I'm going to stop thinking about food...I want ice cream!

Misc. and Becoming Jane

Well, I guess, I don't really have a whole lot to blog about. The weather has been really, REALLY nice. So nice, that it's been almost unnatural.

Hmm...I'm taking 2 tests tomorrow--one for history and one for biology. Then Thursday, I am taking a test for algebra 2. AHHHHH!!! Crazy. After I'm done with this post, I'm going to go study so maybe I should make this post REALLY long. LOL (I'll try to hold back.)

Ooh! I just thought of something to blog about. I've been wanting to see the movie called "Becoming Jane", starring Anne Hathaway (as young Jane Austen) and James McAvoy (as her Irish love interest). The story sounded kind of interesting, I guess, but I must admit that the true reason for wanting to see it was so I could see James McAvoy (he also played Mr. Tumnus--with some kind of fake nose thing and furry legs LOL).

[Side note: though, you may not care, I have lost that loving feeling with Anne Hathaway. I loved her in Princess Diaries. I somehow felt akin with her character. It was wonderful to have an actress who wasn't doing, well, slutty stuff and cussing and all that. Well, somehow I forgot to realize that the only movie I had seen her in was a Disney movie. After seeing the Devil Wears Prada, which was a pretty good movie, I have lost any respect I thought I had for her. That was the first movie where she cussed & her character was shacking up with her boyfriend. So...well, I guess, I just don't like her now and I find her annoying. Maybe there's not exactly any rational reason why but it's true. (I also, despised the sequel to Princess Diaries. :P)]

That's pretty deep right there. LOL I would have gotten the "full" synopsis but it said it had spoilers.

Well, I watched a couple videos about the movie on Youtube and a couple trailers. Apparently, the romance never worked out between the two (probably because the guy felt pressured to marry someone wealthier). For me, that still doesn't justify it. 1. What a non-nice retard! [just shows you how smart I am. LOL] 2. Why would I want to see a movie about a romance where the two lovebirds don't end up staying together because one of them decided to marry someone they DIDN'T love? It's...retarded.

Also, in one of the videos I saw that was an interview with the James McAvoy, he said that Jane Austen had the letters burned that were sent to her by the guy and when she was about to die, she asked that all the others would be burned, too. On the guy's death bed, he was asked, who his true love [oh, this is just WONDERFUL] was. He said, "Jane Austen--in a boyish way." When the people asked James why the Irishman would say "in a boyish way", James replied, "probably because he didn't want to offend his wife."

Well, YEAH!

What a retard!? How do you think the wife felt? Can you imagine being married by a guy just for you money when he loved someone else? You had to spend most of your life with a guy who didn't consider you his true love? How terrible would that have been? [It did give me a wonderful story idea, though...] I told my Mom that and she said, "a 2nd-rate wife." Geez!

Well, I just didn't like that. I probably will still want to see Becoming Jane [though, I know it's retarded without even seeing it], if nothing else but for the lovely costumes and to see James in a top hat. LOL

Anyways, gotta go study,

Interesting picture

We were at a stoplight yesterday and I decided to take this. I thought it would be a neat pic. Hope you like!

Well, yesterday, was the first H.S. Book Discussion for this school year...I thought it was really good. There was actually a DISCUSSION going on. There was more than just three people who talked! 'Twas grand! Also, there was a certain person who amazed me with how serious they were about the whole thing! I'd never--NEVER--seen that person so serious in all my life and it was pretty cool.

I drew a picture as part of the assignment. At first, I kept getting mad at the paper because I couldn't make an EYE that looked right! You're probably thinking "okay..." but the eyes and the shape of the face is the first thing I draw so I was not getting off to a good start. I finally fixed it because I realized she was looking down her eyes would probably look closed anyways. That made life so much easier. I took a bunch of pictures of myself--my head looking down, my neck, and my arm--so I could draw the picture of Clarisse better. I still never did get the arms and hands right...

Okay, if I were you, I probably wouldn't care very much about that so I'll end that part by saying--I think it turned out pretty well. Mom and Dad say that I was able to show motion [the wind] in the picture and that was cool. :)

Why are the aliens doing the macarena?

It's been raining a lot today. I love the rain. It's so refreshing after it rains, as though the world has been wrinsed off.

I love the word "goblet". It's just so fun to say! Goblet, goblet, goblet... :) LOL

Another just as random thought--I think that griffins are so cool! I have thought they were cool since I watched the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and saw one in the battle scene near the end. Well, I'm excited about the High School Yearbook Club. We'll be having our first meeting in September. I'm hoping that it won't just be girls in the yearbook club this year. I think this will be fun. :)

I was looking at brides' magazines today and saw some fun dresses and things. 'Twas fun. :) I love looking at brides' magazines....Well, anyway, I saw this one picture of a woman wearing a black top hat with a veil hanging over it. I thought it looked so cool. So...yeah. Am I the only girl who looks at brides' magazines at Wal-Mart? LOL
