There's just something about having spiders and spider webs all over the yard that makes one ill-at-ease.
Today I finally mowed the lawn [a bit of a long story...]. Well, I got to see 3 different kinds of GINORMOUS spiders, a billion black crickets, a big grasshopper, some little grasshoppers, a snake [which was REALLY cool by the way], a little lizard, AND I got to run into a kajillion [yeah, I don't know if that's a real number but if it is, it means A LOT] spider webs all over the yard. So I did a lot of communing with nature...it was kind of scary--specifically, the spiders/spider web part. Did I mention that the spiders were scary? I saw one big, round one hanging in the air and I thought it was dead--until it frightened me out of my wits by beginning to run up the air into the tree above it. *shiver*
Well, I survived and I got to see a cool snake--it looked so smooth. I'm glad I didn't run over it (I did run over a snake with the mower one time on accident, you know--'twas PRETTY nasty).
Running into spider webs and feeling the tickle of it on your arm is very...disquieting.
Well...I better go. 'Tis time for beddy-by...

Wow... that must have been fun. "Communicating with nature"...
You could communicate with nature more by coming over to my house, we are having a delightful cockroach problem! Isn't that lovely?
