"Allow me to jot down my thoughts before they are lost. Going in to see Spider-Man 3, I wasn't sure what to expect--I have heard good, bad, and "eh, it was ok"--but hoped it would be awesome.

Well, overall I thought it was awesome--edit: though, sometimes I wanted to laugh and wasn't sure if I was supposed to or not--! I had been looking forward to seeing Venom because of the pictures I had seen on IMDB.com . I had heard that he made but a brief appearance near the end of the film and I suppose 'twas brief but I was very glad and satisfied with what I did see. I think they could have done something better with Eddie Brock's character but I LOVED Venom! I love pointed teeth! [Please don't be freaked out--it's just an idiosyncrasy of mine.]

I thought there were several parts that were either predictable beforehand or afterwards I was thinking, "huh, what a coincidence!" [By the way, if I were Harry, I would want to kill the butler. Ooh, that made me so mad! "You idiot!"]
I really liked the guy who played the Sandman. His name is Hayden Church or something or other...

Sometimes the way Tobey Maguire [Parker/Spidey] looks makes me want to laugh [have you noticed how tiny his lips are?].

You know how some people look better when they look serious or look better when they smile? [edit: such as how Tobey Maguire looks better when he's not crying?] OKay, well, I just LOVED it when Harry smiled! He has such a beautiful smile! Through the other movies he had been frowning pretty much the whole time [Geez, I wonder why?]...and he just looks better when he smiles! I love happy Harry! Alright, moving on...

I LOVE the music for the Spider-Man movies! [Except the part near the end when I thought I heard angels singing...hmm...] IDK [I Don't Know]. I just loved the themes and everything! [edit: The theme at the beginning was definitely darker than the others--I loved it. I also loved how they showed bits and pieces of the other movies to catch everyone up to speed. My friend, Allie--the one who will be taking me to Nebraska for 2 weeks--hadn't seen the other movies but went and watched Spider-Man 3 and loved it. Go figure.]
P.S.
Whenever you are walking out of a movie theater as the credits roll, do you ever feel like walking to the music? I feel that way pretty much every time I go [including when I saw Spider-Man 3 last night]. It's just a cool feeling.
P.P.S.
Overall, I think the movie was awesome--maybe it was just the ecstasy of seeing a movie I have been looking forward to seeing forever but I overlook its faults [mostly] and see what I want to see, I guess. It was dark, which I loved, and yet many times I found myself laughing...hmmm..."

So what did you all think of it? Any thoughts? I'm just curious...

i thought it was one of the better movies this summer..
it had all the elements in the characters that every movie should have.
by characters, i mean they were able to act with a great range of emotion. like they could cry, laugh, etc.
the way the plot unfolded was soo professional. i really felt like they put effort into it..
and of course for the special effects, it was WAY better than both of the previous spiderman movies combined! it really was.
however some parts of the movie were weak in terms of CGI but those parts were covered up by how fast the movie was taking place and most the time, the audience wouldnt have noticed it.
well thats just my opinion in a nutshell..
out of 5 stars, i'd give it 4.
i hope you have a safe trip in missouri and come home safe! :D
IMU! xoxo

Why did you want to kill the Butler? What did he do wrong? Maybe it was because I haven't seen the movie in a while and I don't remember, but I don't remember wanting to kill him!
Sandman = Awsome!
In my top fav villains list (yes I do have one) he ranks right up there with Doc Oc and the Joker, and the cool thing is, he sorta turned out to be sorta a good guy in the end.
Harry does look good when he smiles, which leads me to one question... why didn't you post a picture of him smiling?
I don't recall ever walking to the credit music.
I give it a 4 out of 5 stars, and no I did not copy off of Spencer's coment.

so i didnt read everything you wrote :) but what i did read i would have to disagree with.
i thought it was pretty stupid.. there were some parts that were cool. but they could have made it a lot better.
he did look good with the eyeliner though.
and boys i would give it like 2 stars lol
hope to see you soon! : )
Since you direct linked an image on my website, thought I'd come check the source. I enjoyed your comments on Spidey 3, some of which I agree with. Your comments about how Tobey looks so different when he smiles made me chuckle in it's truth.
I enjoyed the movie, not as well as Spidey 2, though I thought Tobey got to show a lot of emotional depth in the third film. I guess what it boils down to is that I liked the themes of the 2nd better than the first. Sacrifice and choice seemed more poignant to me than vengeance and forgiveness. Plus the 3rd movie had so much sadness and loss and not enough redemption to offset it, whereas the 2nd film there was a lot of angst and heartache but there was a big payoff and a joyful feeling at the end. I felt unresolved at Spidey 3's end and I didn't like that, nor the fact that they took the hero clean outta Peter Parker. Anyway, interesting site. I don't even mind you stealing my bandwidth. hehe. Cheers,
