One of the Happiest Phone Calls EVER!

Last night my family and I sat down to watch TV. Not much was on until 8 so we started watching NCIS [which we'd recorded the night before]. Well, after a little while, the phone rings. When the answering machine beeped [we screen our calls, in case you didn't know] I heard this soft-spoken voice say, "Hello, this is Allie--"

[Allie & myself in 2004 at the Regals ceremony]
By that time I was like, "Dad! Get it! Get it!" He got it and then handed it to me.
I swiftly went to my room. I said, "Allie?!"--
Okay, many of you are probably thinking, "Who's Allie?" How DARE you ask such a question!--But I shall forgive you just this once. =) Allie is a friend of mine whom I met at the same time I met Patti--at our girl scout-type thing at our church. We were really good friends. Then last year--in fact, it was probably about this time last year--she and her family moved back home to Nebraska. I was fortunate enough for them to take me to Nebraska before they actually moved there and for a couple days I was with them in Nebraska. Allie's older sister, Ciera is a sweet-heart [but I am never sure if I'm spelling her name correctly].

I haven't heard from Allie in a LOOONG time. I sent her a package for Christmas and I never heard from her so I wasn't ever sure if she ever got it. [I found out when she called that she had gotten it.] So back to the story...
[Allie and I with a horse named "Captain"--he's my favorite--on the grandparents' farm]
I was REALLY happy to get to talk to Allie again. Now, Allie's family has cell phones that can talk long-distance [after 7pm] for free. YAY!

So Allie and I talked for over an hour. The whole time, I kept wanting to give her a hug [I'm not usually a huggy person unless it's good-byes or something] but, obviously, I couldn't! A lot has happened since they moved--to both of us. We both agree about Pirates of the Carribean 2 [that it wasn't so good]. [Allie loves Pirates of the Carribean--the first one anyways.] I can't say everything here but it was awesome. =) I can't wait to talk to her again.

[Kind of blurry--The last time I saw Allie when we were playing Uno]

Well, Allie, I

P.S. She MIGHT be coming out for Winter Bible Seminar next week. [I'm hoping "might" will turn into a "definetely" but I probably shouldn't raise my hopes.]

I'm happy!
